One elephant, but two entirely different lives.

Wassana was exploited for more than 40 years: chained up, ridden all day long by tourists, and gathering countless scars on her body from being beaten with a hook. We cannot imagine the pain she has experienced. But we CAN see that today, she is a totally different elephant. Just look at this girl now.

Wassana arrived in 2016 and quickly showed us that she is a confident girl. She is very communicative and rumbles day and night with the other elephants. Wassana also LOVES water. Whether she is out in the rain, in a lake, or in the elephant shower – this girl adores her spa time. She is clearly so happy to be free from chains and pain.

Our long-term and much-valued supporter, Joan Pearson, and her friends in Sydney, secured her release back in 2016. Supporters like you can give rescued giants, like Wassana, a much better life. Please give a little for a gentle giant today > https://www.wfft.org/donate
