We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our current team of volunteer coordinators here at the WFFT Elephant Refuge and Education Centre. The successful applicant will be assisting the current WFFT Elephant Refuge volunteer coordinator with coordination and supervision the day-to-day work of volunteers and the day-to-day care of the WFFT herd. The WFFT Elephant Refuge currently houses 18 rescued Asian elephants ranging in age from 2 to 65-years-old. All the elephants in our care have come from abusive pasts.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities
• Assisting with the supervision the daily routines of Elephant Refuge volunteers
• Coordinating and supervising various volunteer projects
• Welcoming new volunteers and conducting volunteer inductions

Desired Skills/Qualities
• Volunteer/staff management experience
• A good command of spoken and written English, knowledge of Thai language would be an advantage
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience volunteering or working with rescued wildlife particularly elephants
• A love of wildlife and a well-rounded interest in wildlife conservation
