Today is the one year anniversary of Mee Chai’s rescue! She used to be a logging elephant in Myanmar where a tree fell and broke her foot. She was then sold as a riding elephant in Thailand where they beat her with bullhooks and also chained her deformed leg. At WFFT, she met her best friend Ganda, who she immediately took to, and they now roam peacefully in Project 4, foraging and swimming as they please. We love you, Mee Chai!
