Visit: Full Day Experience

elephant-iconWe would like to introduce our day trips to the WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTER AND ELEPHANT REFUGE to you and your customers. The WFFT Rescue Center is now organising day tours for visitors, which will add an interesting aspect to your offering for the region of Hua Hin and Cha Am.

We are only a 35 minutes drive from Hua Hin, and 25 minutes from Cha Am, offering an eco- and animal friendly alternative for tourists residing in this region.

Visitors can explore the center with our expert guide, meet and feed an elephant in our nearby forest. They will also have the opportunity to observe the feeding of some of our 600+ wild animals, whether its bears, gibbons, macaques, otters, langurs or our 25 rescued elephants including a mother elephant and her baby.

Please be aware that from the 1st of June 2019 we will no longer be allowing guests to shower elephants during the regular day visits.

This decision has been made as part of WFFT’s long-term goal to manage all our elephant in a protected-contact management system meaning we will be hands-off with our herd of rescued elephants. Providing them with as much freedom as we possibly can. WFFT is a leader in captive elephant management and welfare, making these changes will bring us closer to our goal while benefiting the elephants and enhancing the visitor experience. Working so closely with captive wild animals poses many threats, even to those that purport to have special bonds with the animals they care for, close interactions with wild animals are never risk-free.

We will be creating a new unique visitor experience where guests will be able to meet, greet and feed the rescued elephants at the WFFT Elephant Refuge. The elephants will be able to come and go as they please while the guests will be stationed at a protected platform area within the elephant habitat. This will still provide you with a once in a lifetime opportunity to keep up close to these majestic animals while giving our elephants even more freedom to do as they please.

The new “Meet, Greet and Feed Experience” will be launched on the 1st of June 2019.

This tour is designed to help educate and create awareness amongst animal loving tourists, about the plight of animal welfare and exploitation in South East Asia.

Please be informed that your contribution will go directly to the care of our rescued animals.

We have 3 air-conditioned vans to pick up your guests from your accommodation or elsewhere in your region. The day trip includes a Thai lunch buffet (with meat, vegan and vegetarian options) and a coffee or cool drink on arrival. We hope to be able to cooperate with you in offering this unique tour, and would like to share some of our facilities in attached correspondence.
